Hunters of Sheydim

A secret war has raged between humans and demons for centuries. After years of relative peace, Asmodeus, the Lord of Demons, has escaped his hellish prison. Humanity’s last hope lies with some kick-ass half-human, half-Niphilim twin Jewish girls who are cosmically ordained to vanquish demons.

Golem Press would like to introduce our newest series, The Hunters of Sheydim, that will be released in Fall of 2025. It is written by Jeff Marvin with art by Riley Brown.

Caterina and Lucia de la Vega, twin Spanish twentysomethings who in recent years have discovered their Jewish roots, have been training to fight demons since childhood. Their father, Diego, who raised them alone, was murdered by the Lord of Demons, Asmodeus, before their eyes when they were eight years old. Since then, they were adopted by Rabbi Eli Eidelman and his wife Sarah, who are part of a secret organization called Baalei Shem Tov, dedicated to fighting back demonic forces in our world. They’ve made a pact with two other demon-hunting societies, Malleus Maleficarum and Qatil al-Jinn, which is falling apart after years of cooperation, just when Asmodeus has broken out of Gehinnom.

Now the tables have turned: the hunters of Sheydim are being hunted by demons, and they must fight to survive and destroy Asmodeus for good. Molech and his ranks of demons are attempting to wipe out the remnants of the demon hunters in order to sow chaos worldwide, usher in an era of global anarchy, and reinstate human sacrifice—to him. Asmodeus has a different plan: he’s trying to rehabilitate his tarnished reputation and once again become the savior of Israel. Even bigger battles await, as a host of yet-unknown demons wait in the shadows to wreak havoc on humanity.
